It is meant to be administered by intramuscular (IM) injection only (syringe is not included). Adequan i.m. Equine requires a prescription from your veterinarian. Within 2 hours of administration Adequan i.m. Equine reaches peak levels within the joints. Within 48 hours of administration, hyaluronic acid (HA) levels nearly double. Up to 96 hours after administration, Adequan i.m. Equine can be detected in the cartilage and subchondral bone.
